What We Collect

LifePlusWisdom collects the minimum data needed to provide the experience:

• Session cookie — A random identifier stored in your browser to track quest completions and reflections across visits. No personal information is stored in this cookie.
• Reflections — Text you type in the "What are you carrying?" field. Stored in our database. You choose whether each reflection is private (only you) or shared with the community.
• Quest completions — A record that you completed a quest, with optional reflection text.
• Share cards — When you generate a share card, we store a snapshot of the wisdom and your reflection text to create the shareable URL.

If You Create an Account

Account creation is optional and uses passwordless magic links. If you register, we additionally store:

• Display name — The name you choose to be greeted by.
• Email address — Used solely to send magic link sign-in emails. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
• Streak data — How many consecutive days you've visited.

When you create an account, your anonymous session data (reflections, quest completions) is migrated to your account.

How We Use Your Data

• To display today's wisdom, your quest progress, and your streak.
• To show community reflections (only those you explicitly mark as public).
• To generate and display share cards.
• To send magic link emails when you request to sign in.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not serve ads.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track users across websites. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.

AI-Generated Content

Daily wisdoms and quests are generated with the assistance of AI language models. Your reflections and personal data are never sent to AI providers. AI is used only for content creation, not personalization.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — View your saved reflections and account information.
• Delete your data — Request deletion of your account and all associated data by visiting your account settings or contacting us.
• Export your data — Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are not stored (we use passwordless authentication). Session cookies are HttpOnly and SameSite-protected. The database is hosted on secure infrastructure with access restricted to the application.

Data Retention

• Anonymous session data (no account): retained for 1 year, then automatically deleted.
• Account data: retained until you delete your account.
• Share cards: retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.
• AI generation logs: retained for 90 days for quality monitoring.
